Wikiexpeditions are collective (or sometimes individual) trips of Wikimedians to some cities or districts (raions) in order to:
- collect materials for expanding text information and illustrating articles on Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects;
- bridging with local organisations and individual activists;
- promoting Wikipedia.
